The Konrad-Adenauer–Stiftung has progressively supported Makerere University Convocation to become an open platform for dialogue on the topical issues that pertain to democratic governance, the rule of law, public accountability, economic transformation and other political aspects in Uganda.
Therefore, this grand intellectual debate will provide the youth drawn from all levels of education at Makerere University and other corners of the country and East Africa at large a free atmosphere to have an in-depth discussion of the current unemployment challenges and how they can engage the government in an effort to fight the problem. The dialogue will bring together civil society actors, the academia, economists, youth leaders, the media and political activists.
