Details
The IYOP football challenge is a non-political form of engagement amongst youth from different political parties. The tournament was initiated in 2016, as part of a campaign by youth from political parties under their umbrella organization the Interparty Youth Platform to lower youth involvement in political violence and work together to overcome the challenges of their generation. It is anticipated that sports diplomacy will transcend political differences and bring youth with diverging political views together for national peace and development.
