Barely a year ahead, shall Uganda be holding the second general elections since political pluralism was reintroduced in the country in 2005? It is going to be necessary that all actors in the electoral process are empowered towards effectively fulfilling their mandate in promoting free and fair elections. The media is one such actor.

The training workshop organisaed by UMDF and supported by KAS, targets representatives from the media so as to empower them with professional skills,consciousness and will enable them undertake election reporting more responsibly and more effectively as a link between the citizens and different centres of power.
