A panel of German political experts will travel to New York to offer analysis and insight following the German federal elections held on Sunday, September 22.

The speakers, hosted by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung during their program in the United States, will join the American Council on Germany for a timely luncheon discussion on the election’s implications for Germany’s international policies and the country’s global role.

The panel members are:

• His Excellency Eckart von Klaeden, Minister of State to the Federal Chancellor and a Member of the

Federal Executive Board of the Christian Democratic Union;

• His Excellency Guido Beermann, Permanent Secretary in Berlin’s Senate Department for Economics,

Technology, and Research;

• Mr. Thorsten Alsleben, Capital Representative and Director of Political Relations at Kienbaum

Consultants International and a former longtime political correspondent with ZDF-Studio Berlin.
