Seminar

Cybertrialogue – United States, Israel and Germany

KAS USA Seminar in October

Building on the June 2023 KAS Cybertrialogue in Berlin, which stressed the challenges and possibilities of democracies to protect critical infrastructure, we continue our event series in Washington, DC. Since the beginning of the Russian war of aggression against the Ukraine the awareness of cybersecurity needs has risen markedly and the focus on resilience has become sharper.

This iteration of the Cybertrialogue will also investigate the role of Artificial Intelligence in the realm of cybersecurity and will highlight the latest threat scenarios and cyberattacks, as well as government responses in Germany, Israel and the United States. Some guiding questions remain: How can democracies come together to counter hybrid warfare and protect critical infrastructure? What legal measures can be taken to implement common laws and norms? New questions will also be discussed: How does the advent of rapidly evolving AI models impact cybersecurity and the stability of democracies? What role does the corporate sector play in ensuring a healthy and resilient cyber-ecosystem? This Cybertrialogue provides a forum to discuss those and other questions trilaterally and to identify risks and opportunities going forward.
