The panel will explore how digital technologies can help mitigate climate change and will discuss environmental and digital policies on the national and international levels. Specific attention will be paid to issues surrounding greenhouse gas emissions, rare earths, and e-waste, which like many global policies from international bodies, the European Union, the U.S., and Germany are at the nexus of environmental and digital developments. In this discussion, we will look into current developments in the U.S.-EU Trade and Technology Council and will consider the possibilities for deepened cooperation and understanding between the U.S., the EU, and Germany on environmental and digital developments.
