On 8 May, South Africans will be voting in the sixth democratic elections.
The 2019 general elections will take place in a time where the South African economy is facing a recession. Globally‚ economic recession affected electoral support.
On the other hand, the South African Government is aiming to generate at least US$ 100 billion in new investments over the next five years. However, investor confidence is said to be fading due to discussions around land expropriation without compensation and the lack of a skilled workforce amongst other issues.
