Department Sub-Saharan Africa

The establishment of functioning democratic states is the core objective Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in Sub-Saharan Africa. To work towards this goal, KAS has 20 offices across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Regional Programme Political Dialogue Sub-Saharan Africa

PolDiSSA was launched in 2021 with the aim of strengthening political dialogue with and within Africa.

EU-Project "Great Lakes Youth Network for Dialogue and Peace"

The EU-co-funded project "Great Lakes Youth Network for Dialogue and Peace" which lasted for three years from 2021 to 2023 was implemented by a consortium of organizations that have been working in the region for several years, including the German political foundation Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS)– with its three country offices in DRC, Uganda and Tanzania.

EU-Project "Together for Peace“

The EU-co-funded project “Together for Peace” which lasted for 19 months from 2022 to 2023 intended to foster dialogue and conflict resolution between different groups and parties on the Archipelago of Zanzibar. The action restarted the dialogue between political parties and other key stakeholders.
