Kosovo continues lagging behind other countries in terms of the measures taken for the Energy Efficiency and the required European standards.

Kosovo Agency for Energy Efficiency has core competencies in the area of efficiency. In many meetings, conferences and research papers is estimated that the current law on energy efficiency is not adequate for the situation on the ground, having distinct disadvantages.

For this reason, the Agency has established a working group to draft a new law on Energy Efficiency, which will be in harmony with the European Energy Directives and which will meet the required standards.
