Since 2019, Lebanon has been assailed by economic and financial crisis, followed by COVID-19 pandemic and Beirut blast on August 4, 2020. A crisis described by the World Bank as one of the most severe economic depressions since the mid-nineteenth century.

The World Bank identifies political corruption and unsustainable finance plans as root causes of the current crisis that is still ongoing. Lebanon’s fragmented political factions didn’t find yet, a common ground or act quickly to endorse targeted reforms addressing the sources of the country’s crisis.

The aim of this documentary is to present the economic and financial plans proposed by the established political parties and civil society organizations presenting themselves as alternatives. What are these plans/ reforms/ visions? Are they applicable within the current political system? Will they help to overcome the crisis and help Lebanon’s recovery?
