Lebanon has been affected by a series of crises - financial, economical and political - which was accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic and the Beirut port explosion. Today, the country is in hardship and the Lebanese startup ecosystem and the innovation sector has been impacted. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and Arabnet are launching a detailed Lebanese Innovation Economy report titled ‘Braving the Storm: Safeguarding the Lebanese Innovation Economy’ to assess the impact of the Lebanese crisis on the startup ecosystem.
This report offers a critical assessment of the impact of the crises across 5 key dimensions: talent, access to capital, access to markets, infrastructure and operations, government and regulation.
