The speakers will figure out the similarities and the differences among the press of ASEAN countries. How political news are covered in ASEAN media and the role of journalism in building the ASEAN community will also be included in the agenda.

The experts of the seminar "ASEAN Journalism: Comparative Perspectives" shared the view that the digital era is a challenge and an opportunity for ASEAN media to make their products accessible to regional readers and, therefore, promote understanding among the peoples in the block. Co-organised by KAS and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the seminar attracted about 100 media experts, managers and students of journalism.
