At the round table discussion on educational policies of Vietnam and Germany on November 7, experts called on leaders in Vietnam's education sector to encourage creativity and enhance autonomy of Vietnamese educational institutions. The participants also pointed out problems that require great efforts from policy makers to solve, such as brain drain, out-dated training methods, and the lack of learning materials, non-critical thinking, and low teachers' salary. Attending the discussion organised by KAS Vietnam and the University of Social Sciences and Humanity were Dr. Stefan Kaufmann, member of the German Bundestag, Vietnamese educational managers, representatives of the German Embassy and German businesses as well as KAS.
