Attending the event were German Charge d’Affaires Hans-Jörg Brunner, representatives of German Foundations, representatives of KAS partners and colleagues.

Mr. Hans-Jörg Brunner spoke highly of Ms. Brauer’s work at KAS and her contribution to the political activities of the German Embassy.

Ms. Brauer expressed her sincere thanks to all partners and guests for supporting KAS over the years.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your constant support to me and my colleagues in the KAS office”, she said. “I will take home many lasting memories which will enrich my life henceforth”.

Ms. Brauer is going to finish her term in Vietnam after four and a half years. Together with her great team she has helped KAS Vietnam achieve many milestones. Under her leadership many international and regional conferences were held. The KAS office has hosted and accompanied a number of high-level visits and contributed to a sustainable and democratic development of the country.

After more than 10 years in Asia, Ms. Brauer is to come back to Germany to work at KAS headquarters as a Team leader.

On behalf of the partners, Prof. Pham Quang Minh, Vice-Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities wished her the best of luck in the new position and expressed the wish to welcome her back to the country. - KAS
