The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and ACVN with support of the EU will organise a four days trainng course on "Participation in Land Use Planning and Resettlement Planning" for 28 civil servants from Ninh Bình, Bắc Ninh, Phủ Lý, Hưng Yên, Nam Định.
Programm: The training course, developed by a team of national, international and local experts and tested in a pilot municipality, aims at providing civil servants, in charge of land use planning and resettlement planning at the city and communal level, with knowlegde and skills for effective community participation in the land use planning and resettlement process.
After the training course the participants shall better understand the basic concepts of community participation, identify the importance, benefits and the challenges in mobilizing the local community in land use planning and resettlement planning process.
They shall be better prepared to understand and apply the laws and regulations of participatory land use planning and resettlement planning. Furthermore the participants will be enabled to apply in their local context some of the most basic methods and techniques to inform and mobilize the community as well as to effectively collect and process the feedback of different stakeholders and the citizens and to transparently informing the concerned citizens how their comments/feedback have affected and modified the draft plan.
Based on an action plan for application of the training content in their local context, the project will select two ongoing land use planning projects and support the implementation of the action plan.
