This week Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh won the Universities’ election for the rector position. The official appointment of Prof. Minh is scheduled for next week and the new rector will assume office in early January 2016.

Earning both the post graduate degree and the doctorate in Germany, Prof. Minh has specialized in Vietnam’s international relations and foreign policies, international politics and international relations in Asia-Pacific. In his current position as Vice-Rector of the USSH, Prof. Minh has led the USSH to new heights through a number of international conferences, many of them in cooperation with KAS. He has spared no efforts to enhance the cooperation between KAS and the University and thus contributes immensely to the relationship between Germany and Vietnam.
