KAS Australia looks forward to welcoming Prof Dr hc Rudolf Mellinghoff, President of the Federal German Supreme Finance Court (Bundesfinanzhof) and former judge on the Federal German Constitutional Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht), in the second half of April this year.

The Rule of Law Dialogue Programme will take Prof Mellinghoff to Perth, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney in Australia as well as Auckland and Wellington in New Zealand. He will give lectures and seminars at various universities, participate in roundtables organised in cooperation with the German Australian Chamber of Commerce (GACC) in Sydney as well as the German New Zealand Chamber of Commerce (GNZCC) in Auckland. Prof Mellinghoff is also scheduled to meet his Australian and New Zealand counterparts from various courts. The topics he will speak to and discuss evolve around taxation law, digital economy and judicial integrity.
