We have received numerous requests for internships at the KAS Canada Office. After a thorough examination of the legal framework for such internships in Canada and in the province of Ontario, where the KAS International Office is located, and on the basis of a legal opinion prepared for this purpose, we have unfortunately had to decide not to offer any internships at this time. The hurdles of Canadian law for applying for the necessary visas and permits as well as the associated costs for applicants and the Foundation are disproportionately high. Furthermore, due to the current legal situation, there is a certain legal risk for the Foundation's work in Canada if it were to offer internships.
We therefore ask interested parties to refrain from making such inquiries. Please also understand that due to limited staff resources, we are unfortunately unable to answer any further inquiries.
