Germany takes over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union at a particularly crucial point: Europe and the world have been faced with a multidimensional and unprecedented challenge for months, whereas urgent issues of geostrategical nature call for an enhanced presence of the EU. Parallel to these, the bilateral relations between Greece and Germany are following a stable path and both sided envisage a further deepening of their cooperation in several fields.
In this context, the KAS Greece/Cyprus Office presented at an online event on Tuesday, 30 June 2020 the findings of a poll on the perception of the German policies in the European Union and internationally, but also on the present and future of the relations between Greece and Germany. Moreover, our speakers exchanged views on the goals and priorities of the upcoming German Presidency of the Council of the EU.
