The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Greece Office in cooperation with the Journalists' Union of Macedonia and Thrace Daily Newspapers and the School of Journalism and Mass Communications of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, is organizing a workshop with the title "Media Literacy Practices: Changing the relation of the Public to the Media". Its aim is to deepen the public's knowledge in the selection and maintaining of informational material and through that the strengthening of the medias' credibility.
Experts from the fields of journalism and education, as well as academics will analyse the issue of fake news and the ways to address them. Through an initial panel discussion and the following specialized workshops, the participants will acquire the full perspective of the matter on both the theoretical and practical aspects. Journalism students, young and experienced professionals, teachers, as well as the general public are invited to attend this event.
