This year’s Symposium will revolve around three broad thematic axes:

Friday 28/9/2012, 17:00-21:00

"The Rise of China"

With Jonathan Spence, Sterling Professor of History Emeritus at Yale University, and author of the book "The Search for Modern China".

Saturday 29/9/2012, 11:00-15:00

"Islam and the Arab Spring"

With James Piscatori, Professor of International Relations at Durham University, expert on Islam and Islamic political movements.

Sunday 30/9/2012, 11:00-15:00

"The Decline of the West and Europe?"

With Loukas Tsoukalis, Professor of European Integration at the University of Athens, President of the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP), with the participation of European experts through video.
