Minister President of Saxony meets Asian economic experts in Tokyo

During his one-week trip to Japan, Minister President Stanislaw Tillich of the Free State of Saxony in Germany came together with economic experts from India, Bangladesh, the Philippines, the People's Republic of China, Malaysia, Japan and New Zealand. The event on Sunday (March 23) was hosted by the KAS “Social and Economic Governance Programme Asia” (SOPAS) in Tokyo. The discussion was focussing on the current economic situation in Japan, Japan's role as an economic power in Asia as well as current challenges for the Asian economies.

The Asian economic experts are part of the "Economic Governance Network Asia-Pacific", founded by the KAS-office in Tokyo. Together with speakers from Poland and Germany, the experts host an international event about the recent trends in the area of pension provision.

On his visit to Japan, Minister President Tillich is accompanied by representatives of the Saxon State Parliament (“Landtag”), the Economic Development Corporation of Saxony as well as by German journalists. The main goal of his visit is strengthening contacts with Japanese investors in Saxony.
