In the format of another closed experts' meeting the NATO experts meet on 26 July 2012 at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu with a circle of japanese experts in the fields of foreign and security policy, especially including members and affiliates of the KAS partner organization Japan Institute of International Affairs of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Besides the relations between NATO and Japan, the challenges and perspectives of a new security order in Asia as well as the role of Japan and other actors like the United States, China and Russia in its construction and design became issues of the meeting.
