On 3 – 4 December 2021, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Kosovo and the Prishtina Institute for Political Studies (PIPS) organized Module IV of the 19th “School for Political Studies” with young academics, politicians and civil society activists. Lecturers of the seminar Mr. Adem BEHA, Mr. Albert KRASNIQI and Mr. Neritan SEJAMINI looked at political party politics in Kosovo from four perspectives:

- political parties as agents of democratization in the context of transition, focusing on internal political party competition and democracy, accountability and transparency, but also on other issues (including representativeness, ideological profiling, capacities and financing);

- political parties as leadership agents, concentrating on what role they play in promoting leadership role models, ideological profiling of public policies and networking with respective peers Europe-wide and beyond;

- political parties, elections and parliamentarism, focusing on their role in election system and process reforms and actual law-making, as well as on issues of election campaigns, districting and links with constituencies; and

- political parties and governance, focusing mainly on their programmes and the extent to which they are reflected in government policies, and their role in government coalition-building.
