Internship In Vilnius

Asset Publisher

We are very happy that you are interested in the work of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Vilnius! Before you apply, read the following points carefully. What you should keep in mind is your interest in political education, country and people in politics. You should have a good knowledge of German and English. Lithuanian and/or Russian language knowledge is an advantage, but not a necessity.

We will discuss and define your tasks and duties at the start of your internship. In general you will help us update our homepages, assist with the organization of our educational programme (seminars etc.) and you will be given the opportunity to take part of the events with our partners. Furthermore you can assist us with different publications - it would therefore be of advantage if during your stay, you immerse yourself in a specific topic or area which surpasses the insight of our daily work. This can be a topic relevant in your studies, for example an essay topic or a theme that you take an interest in and interlinks with the work of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Do outline this topic in your application including an explanation why you find this particular topic interesting.

General Conditions:

You should get an international health insurance for your stay in Vilnius. Konrad Adenauer Foundation cannot take liability for any accidents during the internship, so the accident insurance would be also advisable. If you are a EU-Citizen, no Visa is required, Non-EU citizens should gather information about the prerequisites before coming to Lithuania. We would like to point out that the internship is unpaid and we cannot compensate your travel, lodging and daily expenses. Of course you will receive a detailed certificate about your work after your internship. There are funding possibilities for international internships, for example the Leonardo-programme. We are very happy to assist you in your application for funding. For more information about application procedures, please get in touch with your university. Before you come to Vilnius, take into account the following options about places to stay, distance to the office, cultural differences, traffic connections and public transport. Do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to answer your questions.

Please send your application to Elisabeth Bauer, Head of the KAS office for the Baltic States and Nordic countries
