In the framework of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s Regional Conference, organized in Rabat, Prof. Dr. Norbert Lammert, President of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation was received by Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, President of The National Rally of Independents Party, at the party's headquarters on May 16, 2023.
A statement of the National Rally of Independents Party reported that at the beginning of the meeting, both partner praised the quality of the relations between Morocco and Germany, marked by mutual appreciation and respect under the leadership of King Mohammed VI and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Lammert commended Morocco’s stability under the leadership of King Mohammed VI and expressed his welcome of the extensive ongoing reforms in the Kingdom, such as the consolidation of the democratic process and Morocco’s efforts in economic and social development.
Mr. Akhannouch praised the solid and distinguished relations between Morocco and the majority of the European Union countries, emphasizing, in particular, the positive developments in relations with Germany and Austria.
Mr. Akhannouch also thanked Prof. Dr. Lammert, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, and the European People's Party for their constructive role in protecting the exceptional partnership between Morocco and the EU.
At the end of the meeting, The National Rally of Independents Party and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation agreed work further with youth and women of RNI.
