The workshop is combined with a multi-module online learning course. The Academy's programme is supervised by Heather Thuynsma, a lecturer and communications manager at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

At the workshop in Grand-Bassam, Gérard Guèdègbé and Francois Gilles de Pelichy will train the participants on the most important features of contemporary political campaigning. These include organizing an electoral campaign in the digital age, developing a campaign strategy, developing and communicating a political message, responding to and debunking misinformation (or fake news), and incorporating social media into the campaign strategy.

During this bilingual event there will be practical exercises to help the participants put into practice the technical skills they acquire.
