The first South Eastern European Government Communication Conference (14th - 16th September, Budva, Montenegro) was the first international forum for governmental speakers and political communicators in the region and it was well appreciated from the very beginning.

BIRN Summer School of Investigative reporting 2012

Die dritte Summer School of Investigative Reporting des Recherche-Netzwerks BIRN fand vom 19. bis 25. August im mazedonischen Mavrovo statt. Organisiert wurde sie von BIRN gemeinsam mit dem KAS-Medienprogramm Südosteuropa. Beide Organisationen hatten dafür die Unterstützung der Open Society Foundation und der OSZE in Kosovo und Mazedonien.

Open round table discussion with representatives of media, politics and science

The committed discussion in the Sheraton hotel, Sofia brought about a wide response in the daily media (see attached). Editors-in-chief, media owners, media experts and members of parliament – among who the chairwoman of the parliamentary committee for media and culture, Daniela Petrova – were discussing the possibilities of further improving media legislation in Bulgaria for more than three hours.

The Media School Political Communication, organized by the KAS Media Program South East Europe in cooperation with the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Belgrade, successfully finished its 2011 program.

At invitation of the Media Program South East Europe of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) for the first time press spokespersons from political parties and governmental institutions from South East Europe have gathered together. The workshop took place from 28 to 30 June in the international meeting centre of the KAS in Cadenabbia.
