Mr. Nangoloh gave a summary about Human Rights and where they can be found in the Namibian Constitution and in international law. He continued his presentation with the question where does Namibia stand now in regards to Namibian and international treaties. Given that human rights and their promotion and maintenance is important for any functioning democracy, it is always important to keep up in promoting the rights of individuals as well as protecting them. This can contribute to better informed citizens who can play a role in issues of human rights. After the presentation the challenges of Human Rights in Namibia where discussed by the audience who were mostly from the Police Force, Military Force, Correctional Services and other key personalities from the field.
