Event Report: Konrad Adenauer at 150 – Still Leaning Westward?'

Germany’s role in transatlantic (security) relations, the past, present and future.

On 3 June, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Nordic Countries, in partnership with the Den Norske Atlanterhavskomité (The Norwegian Atlantic Council), hosted a breakfast seminar and a closed-door expert roundtable entitled 'Konrad Adenauer at 150 – Still Leaning Westward?'. Both events examined the past, present, and future of Germany’s role in transatlantic (security) relations.

Event Report: Book Launch – Who Will Defend Europe?

On 26 March, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation's Nordic Countries Programme hosted Jana Puglierin, one of Germany's leading foreign and security policy experts, in cooperation with the Stockholm Free World Forum. Ms Puglierin presented her latest book, Who Will Defend Europe? (German title: Wer verteidigt Europa? – Die neuen Kriegsgefahren und was wir tun müssen, um uns zu schützen), at a breakfast seminar attended by invited guests.

On 26 May, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Nordic Countries, in partnership with the Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation, hosted the 'Swedish-German Talk on Defence: Approaches and Insights from Stockholm and Berlin'. The seminar featured a moderated discussion between Swedish Defence Minister Pål Jonson and Carlo Masala, Professor of International Politics at the Bundeswehr University Munich.
