The symposium will consist of discussions about theoretical forms and mechanisms of politics of memory as well as sessions which will combine the theoretical framework with concrete empirical examples. Since the inclusion and integration of fled persons is one of the current challenges for the member states of the European Union (especially since the so-called refugee crisis), these will be the main topics from an empirical perspective.
