A KAS Nordic Countries Project online discussion

In May 2021 Russia succeeds Iceland as chair of the Arctic Council. The Russian Federation has set sustainable development at the top of its priority agenda, but is trying to balance that with its economic development and resource extraction goals. In our online discussion we talk about the Russian Arctic Council Chairmanship Agenda and what are the international expectations for the upcoming chairmanship and the work in the Arctic Council in light of increasing tensions in international politics.
