Together with this year’s winners – the Student Union of the “Orce Nikolov” High School in Skopje, we spent an inspiring two-day seminar in Kruševo (October 9–11, 2025), filled with learning, experience sharing, and teamwork. The management team of the student union, composed of representatives from all four grades and supported by the school’s counselor, managed within just 48 hours to identify the key challenges for the 2025/2026 school year, create a detailed action plan, and strengthen their team spirit.
The students demonstrated exceptional dedication, initiative, and care for their peers – an inspiring example of active and responsible student participation, supported by the school staff and administration.
Driven by their enthusiasm and the results of the seminar, we eagerly await new applications for the High School Participation Award NajGLASni for the 2025/2026 school year!

The call is open to all student unions from public and private high schools that have been active during the 2025/2026 school year and have contributed to greater student involvement in decision-making and the advancement of school democracy.
What is the High School Participation Award?
The Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Leaders for Education, Activism and Development Association, and the Union of High School Students – as long-term supporters and promoters of student participation – award this recognition, officially endorsed by the Ministry of Education and Science.
The award is presented once a year to one student community that has demonstrated outstanding activity, creativity, and dedication in building a democratic school spirit and a culture of cooperation.
Through the High School Participation Award, we aim to encourage student involvement in decision-making processes, recognize and reward positive examples, and build a network of young leaders who strive to make their schools better places.

In November and December, online training sessions will be held for selected presidents and vice presidents of student councils, followed by regional presentations of NajGLASni! award.
