On 27 January 2014 representatives of the indigenous tribes of the Teduray, the Lambangian and the Dulangan Manobo of the ARMM met with experts in Manila to discuss about current issues and concerns of IPs in the future Bangsamoro.

The Roundtable discussion was attended by Hon. Nancy A. Catamco, the Chairperson of the Committee on Indigenous People in the House of Representatives and towards the end also by Hon. Teddy Baguilat Jr, Vice Chairperson of the Committee on Indigenous People in the House of Representatives.

Also present and engaging in the discussion were the Chairperson of the National Commission for Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), Commissioner Atty Leonor Quintayo, and Commissioner Bo-I Era Espana, NCIP.

Special guests where Prof Pons Bennagen, who worked on the passage of the IPRA Law in 1997, and Prof. Rudy Rodil, a Historian and Researcher on IPs.

Atty. Camilo Miguel ‘Bong’ Montesa facilitated the discussion.
