Details

As correctly predicted by many experts in 2020, as more "effective" Covid-19 vaccines become available for use, vaccine nationalism continues to rise. The world’s wealthiest nations pre-ordered Covid-19 vaccines in the billions of doses; many of them enough to inoculate their population many times over. As wealthy countries hedged their bets and stockpiled on the probable "best" vaccines for their population, they have also left poorer countries scrambling for available vaccines as more and more of their population get sick or die because of Covid-19.

Currently, with more developed countries having secured the more "effective" Covid-19 vaccines for themselves and vaccinated a substantial number of their population, they are now sharing their remaining vaccines with the rest of the world.

This webinar aims to shed light on how countries--particularly wealthy countries--should soon shift to vaccine diplomacy and vaccine equity. But are we too late? Are we doing enough?
