As a tradition, around the month of August, the GLS highlights the Ramon Magsaysay Awards by inviting one or more of the awardees to share their experience, expertise and insights in categories in which they have been recognized. The Ramon Magsaysay Award is Asia’s highest honor and is widely regarded as the region’s equivalent of the Nobel Prize. The seven 2007 Awardees are all exemplary individuals recognized for moving Asia forward through their remarkable and selfless service to their respective societies.
