The Centrist Democratic Movement had Deputy Secretary General for European and International Cooperation of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung worldwide, Dr. Gerhard Wahlers, as a guest during the 2011 strategic planning of the National Council of the Centrist Democratic Movement Federation last January 10. This political movement differentiates itself from existing political parties through clear programmatic principles, internal democratic structures, and the obligation of members to pay dues. The 25 selected delegates from the current 5 regions decided to open this young Christian-Muslim Democratic Movement to interested individuals of all ages, including established reform-minded Centrist Democratic officials and elected representatives. With these decisions, Centrist Democratic Movement has taken a big step towards a nationwide program-oriented member-based party.
