Rethinking Disaster Risk Management in South Asia

Experts' roundtable in Islamabad, Pakistan

On January 17, KAS RECAP together with the Centre for Strategic and Contemporary Research (CSCR) gathered South Asian experts in Islamabad to participate in a roundtable discussion on Disaster Risk Management. The specialists provided an overview of the disaster risk management systems in the region's countries, highlighting existing challenges in governance, and devising means of improvement. The event also served as the official launch of CSCR / KAS RECAP's new publication "Pakistan Floods - Underlining the Need for Regional Cooperation for Disaster Risk Management in South Asia".

Climate Adaptation Summer School held in Nepal

KAS RECAP, the Consortium of South Asian Think Tanks (COSATT) and Kathmandu University organised their International Summer School on Climate Change.
