25-year-old Inga grew up in a small village in the region of Mecklenburg knowing that her mother drowned in the Baltic Sea when she was only a few months old – at least this is what her grandparents told her. Then the professor for German literature Robert comes to Malchow and confronts Inga with the fact that he met her mother some years ago in Constance. Beginning to question her past, Inga sets out to learn the truth.
