Ms. Ngubane reported on the tough conditions in rural areas of KwaZulu-Natal, on the challenging work women and even girls are forced to do up to 20 hours a day, on corruption and arbitrariness. RWM, Ngubane pointed out, supports these females, in strengthening their position within the communities. The organization engages actively in the fight for women's rights on both national and local level. The discussions also focused on gender policies and their implementation. Additionally, the participants also discussed similarities between the situation of women in traditional Arabic and South African societies specifically in more rural areas.
