After thematic introductions by Dr. Asaad AIShamlan, Director of the European Department at IfDS and Fabian Blumberg, Head of the Regional Programme Gulf-States, a keynote speech was given by Sebastian Sons, Associate Fellow at German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) and Senior Researcher at the Center for Applied Research in Partnership with the Orient (CARPO).
