As part of its commitment to strengthening the rule of law in South Africa, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) is supporting the third iteration of LAGASA's intensive training course, Essential Foundations for Excellence and Professionalism in Legal Practice.
Designed for emerging legal professionals, the programme equips participants with the knowledge, practical skills and professional values needed to uphold ethical standards, promote good governance, and contribute meaningfully to the administration of justice. Through an interactive and practice-oriented approach, participants will explore topics including ethics, corruption prevention, professionalism, and the rule of law.Building on the success of previous programmes, the course aims to bridge the gap between legal education and professional practice while encouraging excellence in the legal profession, public service and academia.

Course Director
Adv Lauren Kohn is the founder and director of LAGASA, an admitted Advocate of the High Court of South Africa and a recognised public-law scholar and practitioner. Her research and reform proposals have received both judicial and international recognition for their contribution to integrity, accountability and corruption prevention.
