On 31st of January 2014, KAS in cooperation with FES and Jukwaa la Katiba brings together representatives from civil society organizations (CSO) for a roundtable disussion. A plattform shall be created in order to enable CSOs to exchange expectations and ideas on the second draft of the new Tanzanian constitution.

Following a similar discussion last year, the overall objective of this meeting is to discuss the recently presented second draft of the new constitution and the expected scenarios for the following steps of the constitution making process, namely the Constitutional Assembly and the referendum. The event shall be an open platform for an interactive exchange of views and positions of the main civil society actors participating in the constitutional reform process.

The roundtable discussion shall contribute to the strengthening of the voice of the civil society in the constitutional reform process.
