Resulting from an assessment conducted in seven districts, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Uganda Media Development Foundation have published a report on the state of political pluralism and democracy at the local government level in Uganda. This was undertaken under the EU funded project on strengthening civil society, media and local councils’ capacity to promote political pluralism, democratic participation and representation at the local government level in Uganda. Arua, Gulu, Kasese, Mbarara, Masaka, Mbale and Soroti are the seven districts where the assessment was conducted.
