Kiel Security Conference

Lessons from Ukraine for the Baltic Sea region were the focus of a panel moderated by Thomas Birringer, Director of KAS Ukraine, at the Kiel Security Conference. This gathering of high-ranking military officials, security experts, and politicians is organized annually in Kiel by KAS and the IISS, and was initiated by the current German Foreign Minister, Johann Wadephul, who was also in attendance this year. Lesya Orobets, from the Ukrainian NGO 'Price of Freedom' and a former Member of Parliament, joined Niclas Herbst from the European Parliament, Vice Admiral Jeffrey Anderson, Commander of the US 6th Fleet, and other experts to discuss topics including naval drone warfare, combating the Russian shadow fleet, and Europe's defense capabilities in cooperation with Ukraine.

Black Sea Security Forum 2026

International security experts discuss Black Sea strategy in Ukraine against the backdrop of the Russian war

From 28 to 31 May, Odesa hosted the Black Sea Security Forum 2026, one of the leading international platforms for discussing security issues in the Black Sea region. The Forum brought together policymakers, government officials, military representatives, diplomats and experts from Ukraine, Europe and the United States to discuss the role of the Black Sea in Europe's security architecture. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung was one of the Forum’s key partners, while its Chairwoman, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, took part in key discussions on the region’s strategic challenges and future.

Lessons Learned from Ukraine for Energy Resilience of the EU Member States

Expert Discussion

On May 18, 2026, an expert event dedicated to Ukraine’s experience in ensuring the resilience of its energy system under the conditions of a full-scale war took place in Berlin at the Academy of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. Representatives from politics, the energy sector, municipalities, and the expert community from Germany and Ukraine exchanged practical experience and discussed lessons for Germany and Europe. The discussion was organized by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Office in Ukraine and the Ukrainian think tank Dixi Group.

Dialogues on Europe

Вже втретє міжнародний форум Dialogues on Europe/Діалоги про Європу зібрав на одному майданчику представників громадянського суспільства, експертного середовища, органів влади, дипломатичного корпусу та медіа для обговорення перспектив європейської інтеграції України та розвитку добросусідських відносин у Центральній Європі. Захід відбувся 10 травня 2026 на Закарпатті неподалік Ужгорода за ініціативи Інституту Центральноєвропейської Стратегії (ICES) у партнерстві з Представництвом Фонду Конрада Аденауера в Україні, Міжнародним Фондом Відродження, Фонд «Аскольд і Дір», який реалізовує ІСАР Єднання за фінансування Норвегії та Швеції.

Молодь формує бачення успішного майбутнього України

25 квітня 2026 року в Києві відбувся щорічний молодіжний форум Youth Vision 2026, організований громадською організацією «Солідарна Молодь» за підтримки Фонду Конрада Аденауера в Україні. Захід об’єднав понад 500 учасників з усіх регіонів країни – молодіжних активістів, представників політичних молодіжних організацій, волонтерів, військовослужбовців, ветеранів та міжнародних партнерів.
