Speakers included:
- Anatolii Kutsevol, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine for European Integration
- Solomiia Bobrovska, Member of the Parliament of Ukraine, Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence
- Orest Babii, Defence Advisor at the NATO Representation to Ukraine
Moderator: Lesia Ohryzko, Director of the Sahaidachnyi Security Center.
The event was opened by Thomas Birringer, Head of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Country Office Ukraine, who emphasised the importance of a shared dialogue on NATO-related security issues together with Ukraine.
Key issues discussed included:
- the current state of NATO–Ukraine relations
- military integration and interoperability vs political non-integration
- strengthening defence cooperation despite political constraints
- additional defence formats, including the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF)
The overarching message of the discussion was clear: Ukraine is not merely aspiring to join NATO - Ukraine is a country that already strengthens the Alliance.
We extend our gratitude to our partners, the speakers, and everyone working to ensure that the word “security” resonates for Ukrainians not as a dream, but as a reality.
