Dr. Hardy Ostry, head of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung USA, together with his counter parts at the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and the Heinrich Böll Stiftung, briefed members of the German Bundestag. The group was visiting the U.S. capital as part of Federal Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius’ delegation. They were accompanied by representatives of the German Embassy.
Discussions focused on the upcoming elections and the recent Republican Midterm Convention in Dallas, Texas. Furthermore, the group touched on the tightening of the U.S. Senate races and the debate around the public’s decreasing confidence in political institutions.
