It is in everyone’s interest to improve the understanding of the agenda of the Free Trade Agreement between the U.S. and the EU. Both sides have concerns about TTIP, e.g., a loss of national consumer and environmental protection measures, as well as the possible undermining of health and labor standards. These questions and concerns are going to be addressed by Dr. Dercks and U.S. representatives from the U.S. Government, the U.S. Congress, trade associations and consumer and trade union organizations. The objective is to gain a better understanding of the diverse expectations and to clarify any existing misunderstandings.
