In collaboration with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB), KAS Media Africa provides a platform for the cross-continental exchange of ideas and solutions to the challenges faced by public service broadcasters in Africa and Europe. This “Leadership Forum for Public Service Media”, will take place from 5 to 8 November 2025 at Villa La Collina in Cadenabbia, Italy - the former summer residence of Konrad Adenauer, the first German chancellor.
Firstly, the event will highlight the similarities and differences between Europe and Africa and underline possible tried-and-tested solutions. Furthermore, the Forum will discuss the effects of digital transformation and the impact of Artificial Intelligence on broadcasters' structures. A key topic will be a new study by Rai, the Italian broadcasting service. The study examines the future of work in the media industry and provides forecasts about future jobs and the competencies required in the media sector.
Important to note: The Forum is aimed exclusively at PSM Director Generals from Africa and Europe and leading executives from Germany.
