The workshop seeks to investigate the history and development of writs as a model of constitutional adjudication especially in the Global South. The workshop will consider the symbolic status of constitutional writs, how the importance of these remedies has changed over time and who benefits from these remedies. The workshop will see the participation of researchers from Australia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and United States of America.
